Gene Marrs - CEO
Marrs Electric was founded in January, 1978 by Gene Marrs on a very meager budget but with a lot of confidence that Tulsa would support an electrical contractor like Marrs – a contractor who was honest and always did what he said, when he said he would do it.
In February of that year, he moved out of his house and into a small office warehouse. His first hire was Jerry Dunahay, who as president and 30 year employee has since retired and Vice President, Terry Penix being promoted to President is another 30 year employee who also subscribes to the same honesty and integrity on which he founded the company. As each new employee was added, it was with the utmost scrunity that they have the same beliefs.
This method speaks for itself. Today Marrs Electric is a multi-million dollar a year company with offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Springdale, Arkansas. It has a satisfied group of customers ranging from small to very large, and is looking forward to many more years of quality service to the construction industry.
In January of 1984, Marrs Electric moved into their present facility on 120th E. Avenue in Tulsa. An auxiliary building was added in 1996.
Offices and warehouse space exceed 9000 feet and are located for quick access to major highways.
